Signs by the ghost bikes
The list of ghost bikes in metro New Orleans is very disturbing. We have been placing the round Look Before You Open signs near the ghost bikes. The idea of the round Look Before You Open signs is to give more awareness to drivers and pedestrians to be mindful of people riding bikes.
I can not place the round logo sign on the neutral ground. The powers to be suggested that I place the sign near the ghost bikes. I spoke to all involved and they were okay with the idea. To honor the deceased, the logo sign will not be on the ghost bike but near it. The idea is to get more awareness for drivers and passengers to LOOK for bicyclists as well as pedestrians
NEW YARD SIGNS
Excited to see the new yard signs as Look Before You Open logo. They are being placed in people's yards, on the street and at businesses.

The Japanese paper mache Daruma doll is from the 5th-6th modeled after Bodhidharma, founder of Zen tradition of Buddhism. It is talisman for making a goal or wish. The left eye is clear and the right is is filled in. Once the goal and/or wish is desired, the left eye is filled in.
I wish that everyone driving looks out for bicyclists and pedestraians to prevent accidents!
Everyone is on their own path navigating this strange and unknown journey. Our minds wander from thinking what to do next, maybe clean the house, where to shop, should I order out or just eat comfort food at home? Just know you are doing a great job.
