The list of ghost bikes in metro New Orleans is very disturbing. We have been placing the round Look Before You Open signs near the ghost bikes. The idea of the round Look Before You Open signs is to give more awareness to drivers and pedestrians to be mindful of people riding bikes.   ​

The powers to be suggested that I place the sign near the ghost bikes. I spoke to all involved and they were okay with the idea. To honor the deceased, the logo sign will not be on the ghost bike but near it. I placed two signs on Elysian Fields near Chartres Street on the neutral ground. As the steward of these signs, I have to check on them daily. Yesterday, I saw that they both were gone.
